Flesh tearers scouts done

With all my mini related stuff in boxex (starting to move to a new apartment today) I got some time to make a shoot of my Flesh tearers scouts. The sad thing is that when I had taken the photo (and stuffed all hobby material in boxex) I realize something that I should have done on the scouts. Can you spot the missing thing?
I know I sad before that the last post was the last one untill I got inteo my new flat, but I manage to get some time...this will surley be tha last one in this flat;)

Untill next time, happy painting!

Flesh tearers and Cryx

Today we celebrate Christmas in Sweden, and this will be my last post for a few days. Next week I´m moving to a new apartment and I don´t know when I will get my internet connection working again. Untill I´m all settled in in my new place and got my internet connection to work I´ll show you some WIP´s on what I will be doning (hopefully) during this week or two.
First is my Flesh tearers scouts who will be ready intill New years eve, they will be entering a ladder challange over at the Wamp forum.

Apart from that some more Cryx will be done, first out is a Deathripper and a Slayer.

Untill next time, happy painting and a merry X-mas and a happy new year!

Update on my Cryx

I´m doing a 15p- Cryx list to try out Warmachine. My main goal on the minis that will be included in this list is to get them to a decent TT standard. I want to play ASAP and I hate bringing unpainted minis to a game. I might go over them as son as the whole list is done, but until then they have to do as they are.

I will do some more painting on the Nightwtretchers base and the Necrotech belly needs to smoothen out, as well as some weathering. But enought babbeling and on tho the pics.

Next to be done on my workbench is a 5- man strong scout squad (for my flesh tearers), some regular Flesh tearers marines, a Deatch company and of course more Cryx!

Untill next time, happy painting!

Deneghra WIP

Yesterday I started to paint the Warcaster for my Cryx, Deneghra. Since I already hade based and primed her it was straight to buisness with the painting. I wanted to her to have a the "Cryxian green" feeling on the clothes, so I started with a black base and then added green, and later on Stone grey (VMC) to the mix to get it a bit colder. I will probably do some more work on the robe when I see how the skin and armour turns out.

The spear just got some black and Boltgun metal (GW) on the top. I will add som washes and highligt later on. I gave the armout thre coats of wash, started with Black shade (VMC), followed by Gyrophone sepia (GW) and then an really old ink from GW, purple (it´s from the early -90´s).
Anyway, a WIP and hopefully I will be able to get this mini done by tonight.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Scrap thrall

A few days ago I based and primed a Scrap thrall for my Cryx army (that´s Warmachine), and after about 3 hours of painting, this is the result. The mini should be used for gaming and for that purpuse I think it looks pretty good.
There are two thing left.
One, I will
Uadd some water effect on the base, and for that I will use Still water from vallejo.
Two, I will add some front arc markings on the base, not sure what colour yet, but probably grey or green. I would use grey because of the armour in my Cryx army or green because it´Cryx;)
Still, this is pretty much how it will look on the gaming table.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Lot´s of stuff on my desk

Tonight was a night without painting, but insted I did a lot of priming, basing and so on, the other part of the hobby!
Here are some photos of what´s in the pipeline!
First out is 9 Death company marines for my Flesh tearers army. I bought them secon handed so today I just removed them from their bases, cleaned up some mould lines and drilled the pipes a bit more, then they got stuck to their new base.

Next thing is some minis for Warmachine/Cryx that I just based and primed. I like the feeling of WM so hopefully they will get som paint once I have finished my two first squads of Fleshtearers (tacticals and scouts).

At last are some minis for a gamed called Fury of Dracula, they are fun, but small:) I´ll even give you a pic with one of the FoD minis next to a space marine, for comparision.
And that´s all for tonight folk!

Another WIP on Flesh tearers scouts

Here is another WIP shoot on some Flesh tearers scouts. I decided not to use the GW paint scheme on them, I tried it out, but wasn´t satisfied about the way they looked. Maybe I´m was doing it wrong, since it looks great in WD, but I think this starts to look good as well. The army shall pe painted for use so not to much fancy stuff on them. I do plan to add some weathering later on, but I will take that as soon as I´m satisfied about the armour.
Untill next time, happy painting!

Flesh tearers update

Not so much painting last night, but I started to build some more minis. The Captain is hold together with blue- tac at the moment (not sure about the armory yet), and the DC marine with Thunder hammer will get some shoulder pads and a jump pack later. The marine squad will be 10 mariens strong when they are done.

Apart from this I got the Blood axe kommande FW upgrade kit in the mail this morning, will I be able to stay with my FT or will there be more Orks?

Flesh tearers scouts and some Fury och Dracula WIPs

I started my Flesh tearers a few days ago and last night I assembled almost all of my scouts and did some minor painting on them. I also started to build my tactical squad (pics on them later).
Besides my Flesh tearers I painted some on the Fury of Dracula minis (a comission) and here is the first WIP on them. The FoD minis are much smaller then the GW minis I´m used to paint, and it was a bit of a new experience for me, a lot of fun but I also learned a few new bad words along the way;)

Untill next time, happy painting!

First WIP on a Flesh tearers scout

I while ago I decided to start a Flesh tearers army for Wh40k, since I have had Orks for a while I thought that it would be nice to have something a bit different to paint. So far I have bought myself some boxes but hardlu started to build or paint anything. first squad out will be a squad of 5 FT scouts ared with boltpistol and combat blande.
Here is the first WIP shoot.
So far the army will consist of
1 commander armed with power fist and combi weapon (bolter/melta)
5 Sanguinary guards (2 Inferno pistols)
10 Tactical marines (1 melta gun, 1 missile launcher) and Sergeant with plasma pistol and Power weapon.
5 Scouts with bolt pistol and combat blade, 1 heavy bolter
1 Dreadnought (I´m not sure wich weapon I will choose so I will give him magnets so i can switch weapons).

Next to come is a squad of 5 death company marines and some transport for my tactical squad, but I´m not sure what to choose. A Razorback/Rhino or a drop pod, what to do?

Untill next time, happy painting!
